Maciej Wacławik

Wacławik Lachish photoMaciej started his BA studies at the Jagiellonian University in the Kraków Institute of Archaeology and continued it through MA until PhD, that is focused on the cultural and economic meaning of Negev Desert in Byzantine period (byzantinenegev.wordpress.com). He also conducted projects on weighing systems in the Mediterranean during the Roman and Byzantine periods, as well as on metal objects from the Hellenistic and Roman periods on Cyprus. He took part in excavations in Poland, Ukraine, Egypt, the United States, Jordan, Tunisia and Germany.

Maciej joined the project “Tracing Transformations” as a volunteer in 2017 and is now one of the Square Supervisors in Area P.
