NicoliBachelor of Arts in Archaeological Heritage at the University of Salento (Italy) in 2012. Master of Arts in Archaeology at the University of Salento (Italy) in 2015. Masters’ Thesis in Archaeobotany under the supervision of Prof. Girolamo Fiorentino. One-year cooperation with “Laboratorio di Archeobotanica e Paleoecologia” (Archaeobotany and Paleoecology) University of Salento in 2016.

Since October 2017 at Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen as a PhD-student: “The Ardent Awaited Land: an archaeobotanical study on Bronze and Iron Ages sites in Southern Levant”, within the SFB 1070 “RessourcenKulturen” sub-project A05: “The Land flowing with Milk and Honey”. PhD project under the supervision of PD Dr. Simone Riehl and Prof. Jens Kamlah.

From 2018 onwards, Marco will participate in the Tel Lachish excavations as an archaeobotanical specialist.
